Journaling creates strong families

I started a journal when I was around twelve years old. Just recently my aunt who is writing another book asked all of the relatives to send her information about my grandparents, actual facts from their journals. I have the had the opportunity to work with individuals and families planning their finances. Many families have had worries about leaving a child to much money. When the money is gone what do you have left. You only have the memories. I have learned so much from my ancestors journals. To me that is worth more than money. When you learn about your past you learn more about yourself. You learn about where you came from. Money cannot last, when we leave this life we can only take with us our intelligence. Your intelligence is the only lasting thing you can leave. You can make a difference and have an effect on the next generation through your words. Leave a legacy someone will read it. Your past is part of you. By far the best thing that has ever happened in technology is the personal PC. How did we ever live without them. I remember the days of the typewriters and then a typewriter that had a memory. Then finally the schools had computers. Now there is one in every home. So recently I found out about a way to actually keep a journal on the computer. I am not talking about a whole bunch of files on the computer in random places that are hard to keep track of. I am talking about an Internet based journaling program that allows you to keep track of your journal entries just like your email. You can log in from any computer for free and write in your own personal journal with a password. It is much more private than a journal at the house that someone might just pick up and read sometime. Finally a program that is simple and easy to use LDSJournal.com. Give it a try you will be more than amazed. If you would like a printed journal you can even print one too. There are more reasons than I can list or explain in this short post. Just log on. Once I realized everything my computer could do I threw that typewriter away. I am not telling you to toss any journals but hey give it a shot. It is too hard to read my penmanship anyway.

I love my LDSJournal, can you tell?
